Afdeling for
Litteraturhistorie og Retorik

Afdeling for Litteraturhistorie og Retorik  udgør en af de ni afdelinger ved Institut for Kommunikation og Kultur, Aarhus Universitet. Afdelingen udbyder uddannelser inden for Litteraturhistorie, Børnelitteratur og Retorik, herunder masteruddannelser i Retorik og Børns litteratur og medier.

Der er ca. 15 fasttilknyttede undervisere og forskere (professorer, lektorer og adjunkter), samt et antal eksterne undervisere. Derudover har afdelingen ca. 10 ph.d.-studerende.

Forskerne på afdelingen indgår sammen med forskere fra andre afdelinger i tværfaglige forskningsprojekter som Litteratur mellem medier, Slaveriets litteraturhistorie og Posthuman Aesthetics.

Afdelingens medarbejdere bruges ofte som eksperter i medier omkring retorik og litteratur, og de formidler også deres forskning gennem foredrag på Folkeuniversitetet, og i grundbøger i for eksempel Retorik og  Litteraturanalyse.
