To mark the publication of Exhibition as Method by Metode, we invite you to a talk with one of the authors, Egypt-based curator Farida Youssef and editor-in-chief of Metode, Ingrid Halland, Associate Professor of Aesthetics and Culture at Aarhus University, member of the Environmental Media and Aesthetics research program.

Farida Youssef is an independent curator and writer based in Cairo. She is interested in the value of spatial theory for artistic inquiries. In 2018, she was a Merut Fellow at the British Museum researching the Egyptian collection from the perspective of contemporary philosophy. In 2023, she curated The Valley of Walls winner of the apexart international open call, an exhibition revolving around artistic interventions and site-specificity. She recently contributed to METODE fourth and current volume 'Exhibition as Method'. She received a master’s in philosophy with distinction from University College London, focusing on recent aesthetic theory.
