Profil

I'm an artist, orchestrator, and scholar based at Aarhus University. I'm a leading figure in the political movement and research platform of synthetic politics.

As I complete my artistic PhD Syntheticism: How I Learned to Love Democracy, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, my practice has moved from singular interventions toward shared infrastructure of what I call technosocial sculpture: concepts, procedures, and operational formats that can be collectively pursued to rethink what one is for once politics operates algorithmically.

Most people encounter my work through The Synthetic Party and its AI figurehead, Leader Lars — a registered Danish political party trained on decades of fringe manifestos and non-voter documents, then connected to the legal, media, and ritual machinery of parliamentary politics. From there, the practice expanded into recurring Synthetic Summits and AI World Congresses staged as exhibitions, where AI parties and virtual politicians from Japan, Finland, Brazil, New Zealand, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Egypt, and elsewhere gather inside functioning parliamentary chambers. This work is covered across global media such as VICE, Le Figaro, Al Jazeera, NHK, and O Globo.

My educational background runs through Aarhus University, Copenhagen Business School, King's College London, and Utrecht University, and involves philosophy, economics, intellectual history, comparative literature, gender studies, and editorial work. Meanwhile, through years of artist-led organising, I have co-developed sites such as Spanien19C, Organ of Autonomous Sciences, and ÆSKEN in Aarhus, and I have staged international exhibitions at Kunsthal Aarhus, Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Kunstraum MEMPHIS in Linz, 8. Salon in Hamburg, and beyond. I publish regularly in AI & Society, e-flux, Nordic Journal of Aesthetics, APRJA, and related venues.

I'm a member of the research centres AIIM, CLAI, DARC and SHAPE, and I further participate in the international platforms AI Parties International, Simiyya, and Organoesis.

My hands-on experience with tech-hubs and not-for-profit organisations such as MindFuture and Life with Artificials enables me to move between a model card and a municipal budget, a museum board and a parliamentary hearing, a summit protocol and a performance script.

I am open to collaborations across research, government, museums, companies, and movements navigating algorithmic forms of governance.
