This presentation will discuss some of the ways in which different-but-related areas of research can build on one another and be applied outside of academic research. This intersection has so far resulted in the Australian Dictionary of Invisible Culture for Teachers, a new kind of lexicographical work which is targeted at language teachers and written using the natural semantic metalanguage approach to writing cross-translatable texts.
