Junior Research Fellow at University of Oxford, Sebastian Egholm Lund, presents his new monograph. Rigorously contextualized by the climate events, science, and technology of the nineteenth century, his book shows how canonical figures such as Mark Twain and neglected authors such as Rokeya Hossain represented global climate control as an apocalyptic, utopian, and literary invention, revising the cultural history of anthropogenic climate change.

Egholm Lund’s seminar is relevant for senior and junior researchers and PhD students in Comparative Literature, English, French, History of Science, and the Environmental Humanities.
