 About our 2025 retreat activities:

We return once more to Bygholm Park, which is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from Horsens train station. Please book your own transport to arrive at the hotel for a 10.00 start on Tuesday morning. The retreat will close on Thursday afternoon with coffee and cake for you to depart ca 16.00.

We will again use most of our time together for shared “shut up and work”-sessions, while also meeting to discuss future activities and initiatives for the Cultural Transformations research programme. – The retreat provides accommodation with breakfast (Wed+Thurs), lunch and afternoon coffee on all days, and dinner (Tue+Wed). Participants will need to arrange their own travel to Horsens and will have to purchase drinks for lunch and dinner to settle directly with the hotel.

Bygholm Park is a historic manor house, surrounded by nature, such as Bygholm Lake with a walking route around the lake of 7 km, Åbjerg Forest, in continuation of Bygholm Park and right by Bygholm Lake with hiking paths, and Erik Menved’s Castle, in the corner of Bygholm Park: the remains of a medieval castle from 1313, where today you can see the building's foundation and moats.
