rethinkIMPACTS 2017

Coordinator: Louise Ejgod Hansen

In 2017 Aarhus is going to be European Capital of Culture, a project that has already had an will continue to have impact on the city as well as the region. rethinkIMPACTS 2017 is a strategic partnership between Aarhus University and the Aarhus 2017 foundation developing approaches to the analysis of the wide range of impacts (cultural, social, economic, political and organizational and image and identity) of Aarhus 2017.
The core delivery of rethinkIMPACTS 2017 is a research-based evaluation of Aarhus 2017. This is carried out by the small project team. In addition an interdisciplinary network of researchers are engaged in rethinkIMPACTS 2017, contributing to the development of evaluation methods and indicators as well as to a broader research-based approach to the understanding of the processes of becoming and being European Capital of Culture.

The project organizes workshops and conferences in which both researchers and practitioners participate and publish reports on Aarhus 2017.
