Aarhus University is recognized as a DELE examination center by the Spanish Ministry of Education. This means that you can take the exam in Aarhus and obtain the official and internationally recognized diploma in Spanish.
If you want to study a semester in Spain or Latin America - or work in a Spanish-speaking country, you will probably need a DELE certificate - Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera. The diploma is issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education - Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional. It is internationally recognized and well regarded in educational institutions and in business in the Spanish-speaking world; just as it is often a requirement to be able to work or study there.
The certificate is aimed at anyone who wants to study, work or collaborate with a Spanish-speaking country - but also for anyone who just wants to improve their oral and written language skills in Spanish.
The certificate has been prepared based on the EU's language directive "The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" (CEFR), and it can be done at Aarhus.

Prices are determined by the Cervantes Institute and are as follows in 2024:
DELE B2: DKK 1,506
DELE C1: DKK 1,685
DELE C2: DKK 1,790
Once the test fee has been paid, you must complete the application form and send it, including valid ID documentation (e.g. a copy of your passport) to Susana Mellerup (slksem@cc.au.dk), who will register your application and inform you of the exact meeting hour.
