Kasper Schiølin is an assistant professor at the Department of Digital Design and Information Studies at Aarhus University, where he currently leads the research project “The Making of European Ethics of Artificial Intelligence” (DFF), “The Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence (Carlsberg) and from January 2025, the Sapere Aude project, “Imaginaries of Existential Risks”. Before joining the university, he was a long-term fellow with Harvard University’s Program for Science, Technology and Society (2016-2020). His research focusses on how new technologies shapes, and are shaped by, styles of public reasoning, institutional infrastructures and changing conceptions of the good life. Kasper Kasper has published a number of articles and books in the intersection of STS, philosophy, intellectual history and literature.
