My research interests lie in German and European literature, which I like to examine with a focus on the philosophical ideas underpinning the works. In particular, I have expertise in Austrian German-language poetry, notably the works of Rainer Maria Rilke, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Ilse Aichinger and Ingeborg Bachmann.
My PhD project is a new interpretation of Ingeborg Bachmann’s (1926–1973) poetry, based on an examination of the inspiration drawn from as well as the criticism of the philosophers Heidegger and Wittgenstein.
