Meet the team

The English Writing Centre employs five instructors. Below, you can learn more about each of our instructors.


Kathrine Micheelsen

Kathrine has a BA in English with a minor in Journalistic Communication from Aarhus University.

She is currently studying an MA in English on the A-line. History, Society and Culture is her preferred area of study, and she is particularly interested in political memory and counter-celebrations.

MLA is her all-time favorite referencing system.


Peter Katballe-Kristensen

Peter has a BA in English SLK and Rhetoric.

He is currently studying an MA in English on the A-line. Peter is very interested in English linguistics as well as the subjects of history, society, and culture. Within the field of linguistics, he is mostly interested in syntax, acceptability, and recently he has acquired an interest in the field of sociolinguistics. 

Peter is a firm believer in the superiority of the Chicago Author-Date referencing system.


Laura Bach Petersen

Laura is currently enrolled in the bachelor's programme International Business Communication - English at Aarhus University.

Her academic focus lies within written communication and exploring language differences.


Gili Chaim Sercarz

Gili has a BA in English Literature and American Studies.

He is currently enrolled in the English department's A-line MA program. Gili is mainly interested in the literature branch of the department, and especially in narratology, the novel of the long 20th century and the intersection between STEM and literature.

Though a zealous supporter of MLA, Gili has recently began to begrudgingly acknowledge that Chicago has its uses.


Tilde Holst Andersen

Tilde is pursuing a bachelor's degress in International Business Communication in English. Her interest lie in marketing, political communication and text production. 

She has a background in social media and a passion for travel.


Carmen Heine

Carmen is the English Writing Centre Coordinator. She is an Associate Professor at the Department of English. Her research interests are writing and translation studies and text production process studies.

Carmen's core interest in writing research is in writer's knowledge communication and writer's self-reflection during writing.

Writer type: Squirlitect (a cross between a squirrel and an architect)
