Professor Svend Erik Larsen, Comparative Literature, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Academia Europaea

An open series of lectures on world literature starts next week and will offer a total of six tandem lectures, during which internationally recognised researchers from universities abroad will collaborate with researchers from Aarhus University in an effort to put world literature into perspective.

When the whole concept of tourism arose back in the Golden Age, there was also an anti-tourism movement. Artists rejected the idea of being streamlined tourists in favour of what they regarded as a more authentic form of travel. And the hunt for authenticity is still going on in the modern world.
