My research is about interaction, mostly Danish interaction. It takes its point of departure in recordings and transcriptions of naturally occurring interaction in people’s everyday life. I am engaged in writing a grammar for Danish talk-in-interaction, on samtalegrammatik.dk, and I’m currently writing a book with international colleagues on how to construct grammars on the basis of conversation analysis and interactional linguistics.
Right now, I teach Conversation analysis and Language, culture and society at the BA in Linguistics and Language in Context at the MA in Linguistics. In my teaching I try to activate students by engaging them in practical research projects during the courses. Apart from that, I do teaching-based research, most notably i the research group "DanTIN" (The grammar of Danish talk-in-interaction), which runs the homepage https://samtalegrammatik.dk/en/.
