AI-generated images as visual documentation

AI-generated images and videos are often described as “fake.” At the same time, they are increasingly used in settings where they serve documentary functions. For instance, AI imagery is now applied by mainstream media to illustrate historical events and by humanitarian organisations to depict victims of catastrophic occurrences.

In this session, we will look at and discuss the implications of this growing tendency. Jasmin Kermanchi will kickstart our discussion with a short presentation.

Join us – we have free lunch sandwiches and coffee/tea!

Everyone is welcome, but due to catering needs, we kindly ask you to register by accepting the Outlook invitation or by sending an email to Lotte at lottephilipsen@cc.au.dk (we have room for max. 12 participants)

Organised by AIIM – Centre for Aesthetics of AI Images.
