Forskning

Den lingvistiske forskning spænder over sprogtilegnelse, flerprogethed, komparativ og teoretisk fonetik og fonologi, komparativ og teoretisk morfologi og syntaks, sprogvariation og sprogforandring, sprogforståelse og hvordan sproget forarbejdes i hjernen. 

Den litterære forskning beskæftiger sig med en bred vifte af forfattere, fra Shakespeare over Austen og Dickens til nulevende forfattere som Thomas Pynchon og Amitav Ghosh, og med teoretiske tilgange som new historicism, eco-criticism, gender studies, og forholdet mellem litteratur og moralfilosofi. 

Forskning inden for samfunds-, historie- og mediestudier belyser emner som f.eks. migration, hybriditet og identitet, kultur og teknologi, etnisk konflikt og nationalisme, erindringspolitik, kulturarv og turisme, de sociale medier, film og populær- samt folkemusikkens historie. 

Forskningen inden for international virksomhedskommunikation spænder over teorier og metoder inden for strategisk virksomhedskommunikation, videnskommunikation, leksikografi, oversættelse og interkulturel kommunikation, som er nødvendige for at varetage professionel kommunikation på engelsk for danske og internationale virksomheder og organisationer med særlig fokus på erhvervsrettede emner inden for det engelske sprog, virksomhedskommunikation og erhvervsforhold.
