Conference participation: Cyborg Workers

Mads Rosendahl Thomsen and Maja Hojer Bruun participated in the conference "Cyborg Workers: The Past, Present and Future of Automated Labour"

Mads Rosendahl Thomsen and Maja Hojer Bruun participated in the conference Cyborg Workers: The Past, Present and Future of Automated Labour of the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies on February 12-14. Bringing together researchers across disciplines – from history to the social sciences – the aim of the conference was to scutinize the common belief that how our work is organized, manage, assessed and controlled is undergoing an unprecedented tranformation. The conference's focus on historical and contemporary organizations of labour perspectivizes the "crisis" of the present and contributes to debates about the future of work.

Mads Rosendahl Thomsen gave a presentation entitled "Adjusting to the Age of Automated Writing", while Maja Hojer Bruun chaired the session "The Science and Technology of Automated Work: Discourses and Realities".
