In this workshop we worked with metaphors of slavery and how to transform the complex history of the transatlantic slavery into modern poetry and fiction. To get informed the students read theoretical texts and on slavery and in order to get inspired they chose and presented an international body of works of fiction, that they found ideal. After that they wrote their own texts inventing or reinventing metaphors of slavery in poems, shorts stories and essays. The workshop will also be held in the fall 2023 at the Creative Writing course at Aarhus University and afterwards all the texts will be published together.
