On November 23, Ulf Dalvad Berthelsen will present the CLAI talk "A stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet: Learning and teaching with AI":

"As with all new technologies, artificial intelligence creates both opportunities and challenges. This also applies to the education system, where it is not only a matter of preparing students for encountering AI by equipping them with equal parts competence and critical thinking, but where we must also consider that artificial intelligence affects both school subjects and subject understandings, as well as teaching and examination methods.

In this talk, I will take a closer look at some of these opportunities and challenges. Firstly, I will attempt to place the work of integrating AI into education within existing theoretical understandings of the role of technologies in education, secondly, I will attempt to outline some principles for integrating AI in learning design based on experiences from a series of workshops with high school teachers."

The Center for Language Generation and AI at Aarhus University is committed to fostering the interchange of ideas and support for researchers in the area of language generation and AI. By opening our biweekly talks to the public, we aim to create a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among researchers, students, and the broader community.
