Kristoffer L. Nielbo's talk presents the Danish Foundation Models (DFM) project that addresses the challenges posed by the dominance of English-centric large language models (LLMs) and aims to create state-of-the-art Danish speech and text processing LLMs. DFM models are designed to enhance Danish research, industries, and society by overcoming language-specific limitations and fostering AI democratization.
The Center for Language Generation and AI at Aarhus University is committed to fostering the interchange of ideas and support for researchers in the area of language generation and AI. By opening our biweekly talks to the public, we aim to create a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among researchers, students, and the broader community.
