Climate Engines exhibition opens in Spain

Motores del Clima – Climate Engines opens in Gijon, Spain at the Laboral cultural institution.

Co-curated by our research program director Jussi Parikka with Daphne Dragona, the exhibition features artistic work and public program on climate change, artistic methods, and technology. It follows up from the major exhibition in Athens in 2022, Weather Engines, now updated to respond to some of the Spanish context, including on questions of climate refugees and the local region in North of Spain. The exhibition features many of the leading artists who have dealt with climate justice too and also includes a new Spanish translation of the book Words of Weather that is a new glossary for political and aesthetic terms for weather.

Climate Engines opens on October 6 and runs until May 2024.
