Æstetik & Kultur og Museologi

Afdeling for Kunsthistorie, Æstetik & Kultur og Museologi udgør en af de ni afdelinger ved Institut for Kommunikation og Kultur ved Aarhus Universitet. Afdelingen udbyder uddannelser inden for kunsthistorie, æstetik og kultur, æstetisk kommunikation, visuel kultur og museologi, herunder den engelsksprogede masteruddannelse MA Curating.

Der er ca. 25 fasttilknyttede undervisere og forskere (professorer, lektorer og adjunkter/postdocs), samt et antal eksterne undervisere. Derudover har afdelingen ca. 15 ph.d.-studerende.

Desuden bruges afdelingens medarbejdere ofte som eksperter i medierne omkring kunst, museer, æstetik og kultur, lyd og auditiv kultur, og de formidler også deres forskning gennem foredrag i en bredere offentlighed.
