									<h4><br> What do museum educators and objects do with history?&nbsp;History education at four cultural historical museums 2015—2017</h4>
<p><br> PhD Fellow Madeleine Larsson’s explores how history education changes when it takes place in museums, where material objects and spaces add a crucial dimension to traditional classroom teaching. It conceptualizes museum-based history teaching as a pedagogical tetrahedron, with materiality forming the fourth corner alongside teacher, student, and content. The study analyzes museum educators’ choices of materials and historical actors, revealing diverse uses of authentic artefacts and fictional scenes and differing roles for men and women in historical narratives. It also introduces two typologies – one for material resources and one for historical actor – and discusses the concept of authenticity based on museum teaching practice.</p>
<p>Madeleine Larsson’s seminar is relevant for senior and junior researchers and PhD students in history, art history and museology, as well as our museum partners</p>
