We are happy to announce the next PRAXIS study group on September 14th from 13-14 with Anders Thrue Djurslev, PhD fellow at Aarhus University, Kunsthal Aarhus, and Sort/Hvid, who will share his project investigating the intersections between dramaturgy and curatorial practice.

The PRAXIS study group is an open forum for discussing, exploring and testing different analytical and practical research methods and approaches together with fellow researchers.

A Spectator on a Pedestal in Museum of the Future
For this study group, Anders Thrue Djurslev will present and discuss his coming theatre and exhibition project Museum of the Future and the possible aesthetic and temporal implications of its strategy of staging and exhibiting spectatorship. Museum of the Future is a cross-aesthetic and cross-institutional collaboration between contemporary visual artists and theatre makers, contemporary arts center Kunsthal Aarhus and the Copenhagen-based theatre Sort/Hvid, combining institutional frameworks and contemporary arts and theatre practices. In the fictional museum, spectators are instructed to become part of the exhibition as living sculptures or temporary statues, troubling distinctions between archive and performance, spectators and works of art.
