<p>Join Dr Xavier Bray, Director of the Wallace Collection in London, who will discuss the Collection's history and how it relates to the world of today, especially during (and hopefully after) the pandemic. Among the themes he will address is the Collection’s continuous conflict of identities. Is the Wallace a house museum, or a private collection, and should it retain that sense of the privileged? To what extent does it operate as a national museum, and as a publicly funded institution, how does it fulfil its public role?</p>
