Call for applicants

We are calling for applicants for an Individual Fellowship (IF) within the framework of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie action, to be hosted within the Cultural Transformations research programme of the School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University.

Would you like to carry out a postdoc research project within the research programme in Cultural Transformations at Aarhus University in Denmark?

Do you have a doctoral degree or at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience – and are you one of ”the best or most promising researchers” in your field?

Have you resided or carried out your main activity outside of Denmark for at least 24 months in the period 10 September 2012 to 10 September 2015?

And finally, do you have a research project you really want to do – and does it make sense to you, your carreer and the project to carry it out in Aarhus and within the thematic framework of the Cultural Transformations research programme?

If you can answer yes to all these questions, you might be interested in applying for an Individual Fellowship (IF) within the framework of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie action, to be hosted within the Cultural Transformations research programme of the School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University.

Duration of the fellowship

The duration of the fellowship is between 12 and 24 months (with a start date between May 2016 and May 2017), and you may – if relevant – include secondments on other academic or non-academic institutions. You may be of any nationality (including Danish) but must comply to the mobility rule above. The fellowship consists of a monthly living allowance, mobility allowance and family allowance.

Application

We call for expressions of interest from candidates who have affirmed all of the the above questions and who have carefully read the above documents, in particular the Guide for Applicants.

Expressions of interest should be communicated to special advisor Katrine Solvang Larsen before 15 July 2015.

An expression of interest  should contain:

  1. A motivation letter addressing the links between the project and the research programme and department (max one page)
  2. A description of the planned research project (max two pages)
  3. An academic CV (max two pages)
  4. One of your articles (or book chapters)

Based on the expressions of interest, we at the School of Communication and Culture will decide which candidates to support through the application process.

In cooperation with one or more supervisors, the approved candidates will work on a proposal, that must be completed and submitted on the European Commission's Participant Portal before 10 September 2015.
